PG Diploma in Fashion Designing

You can even freelance for fashion houses. Alternatively, you can find employment in export house and garment manufacturing unit.
B.Sc Fashion Design
India has been the Fashion centre of apparels  and textile trades, and now the manufacturing of Fashion designing and garnishing are at its peak. A career in Fashion Industry is a wise choice. B.Sc in Fashion designing includes the study of one of the major as well as important part of fashion Industry.
It includes the study of creating original designs and the changing trends of the market. Thus, the study under B.Sc in Fashion designing specializes in areas like garments, jewelleries, etc.
The course includes a detailed study of the market trends and the correlated fashion. This fashion is implemented in the form of fabrics and other accessories. Various other aspects of this course also relate to the fast changing trend of the market.

Career Opportunities:  After successfully completing the course of B.Sc in Fashion Designing are readily accepted in Garments, Leather, Textiles, and other fashion related industries. Apart from all this they are free to open their own fashion house to exhibit their own fashion skill, in their own trademark.
Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)
It is the highest level of degree given in our country. A post graduation in relevant field is the required qualification for this. In general 55% marks is the minimum cut off for Ph.D. admission. This research program takes minimum complication time of 2 years while the maximum is 5 years. To pursue you need a guide to complete your thesis. He will help you to choose a suitable topic and then complete your research, finally award you the degree. In India the course content includes80% thesis and 20% study materials.

Career Opportunities:
After the complication of your Ph.D. you are eligible to apply for the post of directors, or for HOD post in any college or if you want to go for a govt. job then you have many options like ISRO, DRDO, CSIR, Researchers job and many more areas. You can apply for professor or assistant professor in any Govt. or private university.
MPHIL
Master of Philosophy is an intermediate program in between the post graduation and Doctor of Philosophy. It generally held after the post graduation in relevant course of study. It is an individual research degree and has been only awarded by some selected departments of a university (mostly in the fields of Arts, Social Sciences, Archeology, Philosophy and Theology). After completion of these programs, students normally enroll for a PhD program. So an M.Phil course is a pre doctorate degree course which is mainly based on research. It is all about a thesis-only.
Eligibility:
Post Graduation with 50% marks and 5% relaxation for the reserves.
Duration:   12 months to 18 months.
Career Opportunities:
The career scope varies for different specializations. You can apply for the post of lectureship or assistant professor. After a successful complication of M.Phil you can apply in all Govt. or private research institute. You are eligible in defence R&D departments and industrial R&D houses. However, the salary part is definitely better as compared to master degree holders.
